Dalmatian

The dignified Dalmatian, renowned for its iconic spotted coat, is a wise, stately, and sociable breed. Standing at around 20 inches tall and weighing 60 pounds, Dalmatians are elegant and muscular, built for endurance. Historically, they served as 'coach dogs,' guarding horse-drawn rigs of nobles, gypsies, and firefighters, which has instilled in them a notable protective instinct. Their smooth, straight coats adorned with unique black or liver spots make them one of the most visually striking breeds. Dalmatians are bright, loyal, and loving with their families, scoring high in family affection and adaptability. They are active, playful, and excellent companions for runners and hikers, thanks to their great stamina.
