Australian Cattle Dog

The Australian Cattle Dog (ACD), also known as the Blue or Red Heeler or Queensland Heeler, is a compact yet muscular breed renowned for its herding prowess. Standing at about 20 inches tall and weighing around 45 pounds, this agile and strong dog is closely related to the wild Dingo. Born with a white coat that transforms into blue-gray or red, often adorned with distinctive mottling or speckling, the ACD is both visually striking and highly functional. Renowned for their intelligence and cleverness, these dogs can sometimes outsmart their owners. Their boundless energy and persistent nature make them excellent running partners and exceptional at managing livestock. ACDs are loyal and tenacious, always alert and often wary of strangers.
